I still can't work out why it is apparently essential that Andy Burnham, and ONLY Andy Burnham, *must* be Prime Minister of the United Kingdom without any member of the public having a say in the matter.
State school raises money through parental 'donations'. Money is used for the education of those children. School can claim gift aid to get extra government funding.
Private school receives same money in fees. Money spent exactly the same way.
Parents slapped with 20% tax bill.
The two-child benefit cap should be reinstated. Why should hard-working professionals unable to afford kids ourselves be forced to bankroll families choosing to have three or more? Arguably the most flawed Starmer policy
Being a bit shy used to be a personality. Now it's a diagnosis with a pill.
A daydreaming child used to be a daydreaming child. Now it's a prescription.
Grief used to be something you moved through with people around you. Now it's a prescription.
A bad week's sleep used to be a bad week. Now it's a disorder with a repeat.
Getting older used to be getting older. Now it's low testosterone, a clinic, and a prescription.
A woman's menopause used to be a passage. Now it's a lifelong regimen.
Sadness after a hard year used to be the year. Now it's a chemical imbalance you'll be managing for a decade.
Every ordinary weather of a human life has been reclassified as a condition with a treatment, because a condition can be billed and a life cannot.
Somewhere along the way, simply being a person became a pre-existing one.
We really need to stop lying to trans people.
You're not a woman just bc of your dysphoria. You're not a woman just because you like feminine things. You're not a woman just because you "feel" like a woman. You're not a woman just bc you're on hormones or get plastic surgery.
It's okay to be an effeminate man. You should not be discriminated against or face violence for that.
But gaslighting people and forcing people to play along with lies that you're a woman is insulting to actual women.
Women are biologically female. Men are biologically male. And no amount of mental gymnastics about gender stereotypes, strawmen about intersex-conditions, or shouting about "the evil terfs" will change that.
Consultants in England have voted YES, sending a clear message to Government that enough is enough.
Consultants deserve fair pay, better working conditions and an end to the erosion of their contracts.
We demand negotiations that lead to real changes for consultants. The next move is Government’s. https://t.co/IGFJyG9E8q
Whether it's independent schools or universities, the common thread is that Labour increasingly sees education as somewhere to raise revenue or make savings.
Our principle has always been simple: education should be encouraged, not taxed.
To those who object to cuts in higher education but stayed silent when taxes were imposed on independent schools: perhaps it's now becoming clear that once governments start treating education as a source of revenue or savings, it rarely stops with one part of the education sector.

‼️Allegedly he’s 12 years old.
Yes you heard right Salam is 12 years old. ‼️
He’s a refugee and fleeing Eritrea. 🇪🇷
Parents of School 7A have welcomed him in. (Clearly no questions asked)
The school has also asked that all pupils and parents offer a warm Welcome to the 12 year old to protect him from his recent trauma and to help his wellbeing.
HOW WOKE AND BLIND IS OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM?
Children need to be taken out of school! This is fucking ridiculous.
A doctor sees a patient.
Send them to hospital because they are worried.
That patient should be seen by a doctor and not sent home by a nurse/physio/pa or any other pseudo doctor
🚨NEWS: The Muslim Council of Britain has written to Ofcom demanding the film Citizen Vigilante be banned in the UK
There should not be a Muslim Council of Britain
NHS SPENT 11 MILLION POUNDS TRYING TO PROVE ONE CARDIOLOGIST WAS WRONG
Dr Raj Mattu flagged 5 patients crammed into 4 bed cardiac bays at Walsgrave Hospital in 2001. A 35 year old died because staff could not reach him in time.
He told @BBC. The trust suspended him, reportedly hired private investigators, and sent over 200 complaints about him to @gmcuk. All 200 were rejected.
At the 2016 remedy hearing the trust's barrister called him greedy for wanting the compensation he was already owed, then suggested he retrain as a school teacher on 30,000 pounds a year.
He won. Around 1.22 million pounds, up to 2.5 million once tax was added. The legal fight cost the trust over 11 million in public money.
Patients died. He spoke up. The system spent a decade trying to prove him wrong instead of fixing the ward.

This report is heartbreaking.
Many families turn to independent schools when the state has been unable to meet their child's SEND needs.
It shouldn't have to be this way.
But while it does, it is especially unjust to tax parents who make huge sacrifices simply to secure the right education for their child.

🚨NEW: Supermarket giant Aldi has CONFIRMED that they DO NOT sell Halal meat 🇬🇧
“We ask all our farmers - whether they supply fresh meat or frozen - to stun their animals before slaughter”
Brilliant news - be like Aldi 👍
If you compare the homes for Ukraine scheme to the one that Labour are proposing for Sudanese, Eritreans etc… you’re an idiot.
Ukrainians were women & children, it is temporary & will go back when the war is over.
They are culturally similar to us & we can check backgrounds.
These are not culturally similar or have any intention of going back.
These men are uncheckable and potentially very dangerous.
A UK family where both parents work full-time, pay full council tax, and earn enough to be 'doing alright' on paper, can't afford to take their kids to the Tower of London on a Saturday in 2026.
Two adult tickets and two child tickets at standard price comes to roughly £100. Add £40-£80 in train fares and £50-£70 for lunch — that's around £200 for a single Saturday at one tourist attraction in their own capital city.
A family on full Universal Credit, living in subsidised housing, paying no council tax, can take the same four people to the same Tower for £1 a ticket — £4 total — under the 'inclusive access' schemes most major UK attractions now run.
The working family pays the full £200 day out AND covers — through their taxes — the £196 discount the benefits family gets on the same trip.
Whatever the original intention of those schemes, this is the structure most UK working families are now living inside. Pay the full bill, then watch the people next door enjoy the day out you can't take your own kids to.
I am calling on Restore Britain, the Tories, independents, Northern Irish MPs and Reform to work together in Parliament to end Labour's disgraceful new Sudan/Eritrea 'refugee' scheme before it starts.
Enough.
So let me see if I have this straight. A care home sends a mentally disabled man on a trip to the zoo with only two people to mind him. He gets away from them and throws a toddler down a 15 foot drop into a pit full of crocodiles. The police then release him back to the same people who let him get away from them in the first place.
How is ANY of that acceptable? Do they not have secure mental health facilities for the criminally insane? It’s hard to think of a better example of criminal insanity than throwing a toddler into a crocodile enclosure without understanding what you did. The facility he’s currently in clearly doesn’t take appropriate precautions to protect the general public from his behavior. I refuse to believe that this is the only time he’s ever been violent.
@NHSEngland I’m a consultant doctor. I cannot rely on an ACP to safely do what an F1 can.
You’re lumbering me with a medically unqualified workforce replacement, expanding their numbers, while telling me you can’t afford more doctors on my MEDICAL team.
I’m struggling to understand this.
