But based on what we've seen, a larger threat and the mutagens increasing her potential even further, (also allowing the game mechanics to stay consistent)

They are half way correct. But you always round up, not down, for anything above 3 dollars especially. 8 is regardless always 10, and 3 is 5.

Nintendo makes money regardless, as they charge 30% of revenue (I think limited to purchases or microtransactions linked to their eshop/ a Nintendo account, but am not confident on the exact details)
