Contrary to what you might think: this isn't one of those conservative statue-guy throw away accounts. I just like Rome and the classics.
In fact, this account is actually run by the vengeful and restless ghost of Antonio Gramsci.
@tatsthatgohard Imagine this guy going to prison and now he has to just deal with random guys demanding that he let them whack off while staring at his tit because it's the closest thing any of them can get to have actual porn in there
@dontcyn >people who don't know
so people who literally do not have eyes? You know this meme format is supposed to be for things that a little-known/ not immediately obvious, right?
So i got #StalkerSoc (Shadow of Chernobyl) on steam during the sale for $5 because it's literally been on my to play list since my high school friend recommended it to me back in 2012. In three days I have logged 50 hours in this game. I didn't think that was even possible
@shmowder_yt Classic HD isn't ugly. It's stylized to look the way it does and it has breath-taking aesthetics. There's something about the gargantuan scale of the steppe and the strange high-modernist brutalist architecture that really makes you feel so small and inconsequential. Like an ant.
@ChivitaKpo@Wendigoon8 No matter which way you cut it, 9/11 was the single most decisive event in the world since the collapse of the USSR in terms of directing the course of history. Literally everything that has happened in global politics directly links back in some way to that day.
@ChivitaKpo@Wendigoon8 if it weren't for 9/11 there'd be no war in Iraq, war in afghanistan, ISIS would've never gotten as big as it did, the global jihadi movement would've remained small and regionally based, less proxy wars between iran/russia and us/nato, no Syrian civil war, no fall of libya, etc
@ChivitaKpo@Wendigoon8 Also, regardless how you personally feel about it, 9/11 objectively was one of the most consequential events in the 21st century (so far), it led to a fundamental shift of US global policy towards interventionism and jingoist expansion into the middle east (1/2)
@ChivitaKpo@Wendigoon8 "and rememoring [sic] it 20 years later?"
This is fascinating because it implies that you think a historical event has to be literally the greatest tragedy of all time to be worthy of commemorating it.
Remember when Carl Weezer saying the word "croissant" was the funniest fucking thing on the planet? Man, things really change for the worst, don't they?
