I've read Sri Aurobindo's works, esp. his interpretation of Vedic mantras to Agni, etc. His Gita commentary is truly a masterpiece. Unique insights.

The dilution started in the last years of his life. His endorsement of Mirra Alfassa was not convincing to me. Very sketchy, shady bordering on the "I am God. She is Goddess" level. They claim adherence to Vedas, but not even a single Veda pathashala established. That was proof enough for me that they're not serious about Sanatana Dharma – just lip service and no commitment to preserving the Vedic oral tradition.

Legendary playback singer S Janaki was cremated with full state honours at her Kaniyanahundi farmhouse here on Sunday evening.

The singer died in a private hospital at the age of 88 following a respiratory problem on Saturday evening. As announced by Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, a police team offered her a gun salute amid the national anthem.

Janaki's granddaughter Apsara Vydyula performed the last rites by lighting her grandmother's pyre amid the chanting of Vedic hymns.

How do you surrender "voter ID"? I can understand passport because it's a proper document paid for and issued by govt.

But it's completely optional to have a physical voter ID card. Many have printed PDFs and laminated. They are enough to vote. Even Aadhaar is accepted at voting booths
