Andy Robertson: “The #ManCity players showed they were good enough on the pitch. I don’t know too much about the charges. But they had an incredible team, one I loved battling against. I don’t think when it comes to these things that players are ever to blame…” [via @guardian_sport]
The Nico Gonzalez saga is one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen at City in all these years. He obviously has bags of talent. I’ve never watched him and even once thought he isn't good enough. Does so many things right, very little wrong. No issues with his attitude or demeanour either. Respects the badge. And seems like a genuinely nice guy.
Yet he’s never been given a proper run of games to prove himself. And despite saying he wants to stay and fight for his place, we seem hell-bent on selling him ahead of Kovacic. Especially in a season where our midfield is the thinnest it has ever been.
It just doesn’t make any sense at all.

“They are worried about the human rights of the k*llers. What about the human rights of the women who don't want to be r*ped? Or the kids who want to safely play in the park?”
