Day 22/30 📅 #30daysoftech with @TechSphereAcad
Today, I continued with networking building my knowledge and took a step towards making my learning hands-on.
I downloaded Cisco Packet Tracer and spent some time in it, getting familiar with the different networking devices
@TechSphereAcad and features available in the simulation.
This being the beginning of my networking journey and I can already see how valuable hands-on practice will be. Reading about networks is one thing, but being able to interact, configure, and troubleshoot them in a practical environment,
You see how these students won gold in Nigeria and then went on to win gold on the international stage? That’s what happens when talented children are identified and supported based on merit by people who genuinely believe in them.
If this had been handled by the Ministry of Education, some people would probably have found a way to rig the selection process and fill the team with the children of the privileged instead of the most deserving students.
Day21/30 📅 #30daysoftech with @TechSphereAcad
After rounding up with the recaps of last class, we jumped right into the main objectives of the day, which included:
Subnetting, and why it's important to cyber security. We did an insightful, interactive exercise on that.
@TechSphereAcad Ports and port numbers — I didn't quite get this, so I will have to go back to it on my own time.
Network protocols: this basically explained the rules governing how computers transmit and receive data between devices.
Common network threats, firewalls, IDS, & VPNs.
I just reached a new milestone in my Cybersecurity journey with TS Academy! The experience has been incredibly rewarding. Ready to start your own journey? Apply now at https://t.co/FcTSB82ByT https://t.co/FWUSDy5C2r
