We had such a wonderful night yesterday at @ReaktorNow. Great talks, good hotdogs from Nick's Food Design, fantastic people and all around good vibes ❤️.
If you think pair programming is inefficient, try waiting hours to get your code reviewed & having to context switch between tasks while you wait. And then switch back when you get the feedback & have to rethink your approach because you weren’t discussing it as you wrote it.
There are a few pervasive fallacies that make software hard:
1. We need accurate, precise estimates
2. Low output is motivation-based
3. We need to get more work started
4. Throughput comes from isolated individual coders
5. We need to program faster
From this day forward, we’ll never walk alone. 🔴 Reaktor is beyond proud to launch a project with @LFC, one of the most widely supported #football teams in the world. Read more about how we are reinventing the ultimate digital fan experience: https://t.co/DohvWwGB8M

IT-ala oli vain tovi sitten naisvaltainen ja koodausta verrattiin sukan kutomiseen, niin helppona sitä pidettiin. Mutta sitten koodauksesta tehtiin insinööritiede. Juttuni naiskoodareista @SuomenKuvalehti#tasaarvo https://t.co/hkPkQ4BfYc
@maaretp I agree. This is often the case when you have to work within a single role. I’d like to see more projects where ppl can use all of their skills. It’s common that e.g. FE devs do UX/UI design and designers write HTML. So testers should indeed also write code and devs write tests
@maaretp I have mixed feelings about this. As a dev, I feel it could make me write with less discpline if I knew there’s a safety net fixing my bugs. On the other hand, the more people there are fixing issues, the faster they’re resolved.
Developers, clear out your calendars for the holidays: It's time for our annual Hunt 🦾 This year, you'll be solving the mystery with nanomesh tattoos and implantable microbots. Can you play through our game? Let's find out.
