An inspiring school-level awareness programme under the scheme “Revival and Sustainable Intensification of Forgotten Foods and Neglected Crops in Odisha” was organized at PM SHRI Govt. Higher Secondary School, Chhata, Nuapada. Over 360 students attended, with 50 students showcasing their talents in essay, debate, and drawing competitions focused on indigenous crops, nutrition, and tribal arts.

The event featured a vibrant display of 49 traditional varieties of pulses, vegetables, oilseeds, and tubers, alongside IEC materials on the food pyramid and harvest calendar, video showcases of traditional recipes, and delicious millet-based refreshments. The programme was facilitated by KVK scientists, custodian farmers, the headmaster, school teachers, Agriculture Department officials, and the DPMU.

ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ସରକାରୀ ଜମି ଗୁଡିକ ମୁଖ୍ୟତଃ ବିକାଶ ଓ ସର୍ବସାଧାରଣ କଲ୍ୟାଣ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ୟବହାର ହୁଏ। ଜବର ଦଖଲ ଯୋଗୁ ବିକାଶ ବାଧାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଉଛି। ତେଣୁ ଏସବୁ ବେଆଇନ ଦଖଲ ତୁରନ୍ତ ହଟାଯିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ। ପ୍ରଚଳିତ ନିୟମ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଜବର ଦଖଲ ହଟିବା ପରେ ଏହାକୁ ବାଡ଼ ବସାଇ ଓ ଏଥିରେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଗୋଚର ହେବା ଭଳି ସାଇନ୍ ବୋର୍ଡ ଲଗାଇବା ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି।
