Thank you @hackclub! Summer of Making was insane even though I started in late August, that one month was totally worth it. Imagine doing what you love (building), people voting on it, and getting free stuff! Crazy.
Just excited to share that Apollo V2 is out! In this update, I’ve added a mini player, a search bar, more settings adjustments, and UI enhancements. It’s better than the previous version. You can download it from https://t.co/rfPvV7V7gs

I shipped Apollo (https://t.co/6OMTDqQo2Q) in SoM, and people actually voted for a silly bopping cat 😭
Just received the IoT Starter Kit—definitely excited to try some electronics! @hackclub
Slack is threatening to shut off a big nonprofit teen coding community @hackclub (which is amazing and which I’ve helped for years) with just 3 days to migrate off. This would strand thousands of of the world’s smartest future coders. They are asking for $50k (a surprise 60x nonprofit price increase) but won’t even give assurances of more time or future service if that’s paid.
Anyone who can help? Feels like a mistaken decision on their part by someone who isn’t seeing the whole picture.
Introducing Apollo – a cross-platform music player. Built with Flutter, features local file support + a dancing cat that syncs to your beats. Neumorphic UI by Mitch @createdbykoko, light/dark themes. Android ready.

The Flutter project I worked on had probs I couldn’t solve too complex or not practical/financially good for a 17yo dev. So I added more stuff & now it’s ready Might launch tmrw/Sun. My 1st semi-original (thanks Mitch’s tutorial + my own UI/features). Landing page + APK soon!
Still on my new Flutter project. Tried setting things up with Supabase today but it didn’t feel as smooth as I expected. Spent most of the time debugging and rethinking my approach. Feels a bit stuck, but I’ll keep pushing.
Learned how to handle local file imports in Flutter and save data with SharedPreferences. Took me a while to figure out persistence, but now I get how state + storage fit together. Definitely starting to feel more confident with the curve.
Day 10 and 11: it's tough for me to keep track of dates now so i'll just update on projects and other stuff. today i finished another app using mitch's tutorial, and i'm adding my own features to make it public. don’t want to copy it entirely.
