Started #OMAD diet from 24th June 2026. Also just protein with vegetables and dairy. No processed food or drinks. Started at 15 stone and today I am 13.12. A loss of 16lbs.
I have been checking my weight almost daily. What this shows me is what I suspected. I need very little calories to maintain my weight and I do not need complex carbohydrates.
I have been gym 5 times a week lifting snd #BJJ twice weekly. Also some walking.
I feel better, sleep slightly better, snd my skin has improved.
Now I want to be fit and strong past 50!
Today will be day 3 no caffeine. Last night I woke up a few times, just did not have such a need to go to the toilet.
I was expecting a good nights sleep, so all the way through. I did not exercise, today I have a run and BJJ later.
Currently no caffeine does not make any difference to sleep.
I have almost completely eliminated sweets and processed food from my daily eating. Now have to stop coffee and caffeine intake. No more today and none going forward. This will not be easy.
Daily steps are low 2990 on average. I have purchased #Xiaomi Smart Band 10. This will count steps accurately and I will be able to get to my daily goal 10000 steps.
April focus will be on:
- Lower amounts of salt
- No complex carbohydrates to help
insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction improve
- Weight loss
- No alcohol
- No caffeine
- No processed food
- Eight thousand steps a day minimum
-
Never underestimate how fast things can change for you. I personally have seen thousands of people seemingly quantum leap into a better life. They had to focus though.
January I went without alcohol, well I sipped wine at #Mass that literally was a sip.
Keeping this going forward, now I have to get diet on point.
Using an app named #Cronometer I will make sure I am getting daily needs.
For now only exercise is #BJJ
Fathers, no matter how tired you are when you get home from work, remember this.
One day, they’ll stop asking you to play. And you’ll wish you were this tired again.
Post 50 years of age, energy is a key element to all activities. This will be very cliche to say this but now more than ever I need to have a clean diet just drink water avoid coffee each day and tea, just drink water and herbal tea and eat clean so whole Foods that allow me to have the energy both physically and mentally to be able to work out both for hypertrophy training, cardiovascular and mental energy to read to study and to progress.
So eat clean (no processed food)
No sugars
No caffeine
Just drink water
If I can maintain this, this will make a great difference.
