Patient values are not the same as value for patients. Just another example of how the term value is used in many and in confusing ways. While value may be a basis for continuous healthcare improvement, in order to do so, collaboration is crucial.
We call for a dialogue around the term value and the implications of its different interpretations in order to facilitate ongoing efforts to substantially improve healthcare in ways that are relevant and sustainable for society at large.
