@hmccoll15 Actually horrifying. They claim the injury could have only been a day or two old but judging by the granulation tissue we guessed it to be a week old… they assumed since she was standing it wasn’t serious 😭

Today I had to explain to a young couple why it was necessary to euthanize their young horse due to a severely infected heel bulb injury involving the joint… they couldn’t comprehend the horse wouldn’t survive without it’s front foot… they have 3 more horses at home…. 🫣😭
