Tobacco Sale Near School

Tobacco products are being sold in front of Neo Geetanjali School, Pragathi Nagar (Bachupally) despite a No Smoking Zone board.

On Sept 16, 2025, BRS leader Uppu Jaswanth lodged a complaint with Bachupally Police and NMC officials, citing over 200 people smoking daily near the school, exposing children to second-hand smoke.

As per COTPA law, sale of tobacco near schools is prohibited. Authorities have been urged to act immediately.
