Unfortunately @MrinalPande1 blocked me a while ago. But since several people tagged me on her latest BS - I thought I would set the historical record straight.

Mrinal's post is not just a deliberate sneer at Hindus, it's also a showcase of her endless ignorance.

The Islamic chroniclers themselves describe Hindus defending Somnath fiercely when it was besieged by Ghazni. Khondamir says the defenders fought from the ramparts from morning until night, forcing Mahmud’s army to withdraw. The next day they returned to protect the temple, embraced Somnath, and thousands came out again to fight until death.

Firishta goes further and tells us how the Hindu defenders repeatedly hurled the besiegers from the walls, held out for days, and were reinforced by an Indian army, until eventually the battle became so fierce that Mahmud’s troops began to waver.

So no, priests were not sitting around “singing bhajans” while Somnath was under siege nor was it casually looted. Even the Muslim chroniclers who were gloating over Mahmud’s victory remember how Hindu resistance was so fierce that it stopped Ghazni's assault, forced a retreat, drew reinforcements, and continued until the defenders were killed to the last man.

Apparently for low-IQ clowns like Mrinal, mocking the sacrifice of our Hindu ancestors who died defending Somnath against brutes is easy - reading actual historical sources is much harder.
