Yet another example of what #LittleCottonwoodCanyon users really want.
@KUTV2News read through the more than 35,000 public comments to @UDOTlcceis and found more than 60% opposed the gondola.

One of the secrets that UDOT won't tell you is that #sr210 doesn't experience a lot of congestion except on high traffic ski days waiting to go up the canyon.
Toll implementation along with a subsidized transit fee are necessary to encourage transit use and reduce congestion on #SR210. @UtahDOT discusses tolling and travel demand management in Final EIS Chapter 32. Visit the website for more info: https://t.co/VBm2Y5bEqX #LCCEIS
And then you dig through the muck and you find that tolling isn't really to alleviate canyon traffic but to push people to ride the gondola which will benefit the people who were integral in getting this presented.
Though the resolution has little sway over the project, some Council members say it sends a cautionary message to state lawmakers. | By @kyle_dunphey

Thank you @SLCoMayor ann @SLCo_Council as well as all those that came out, spoke out, and supported this resolution. We will only get louder. #savenotpave https://t.co/pZEDCdY3SI
Thank you @SLCo_Council for passing a joint resolution with me against the gondola and in favor of common-sense solutions. These solutions on their own have the potential to solve the traffic problem without destroying our canyon.
Info on the UTA cuts to ski service at link below.
Route 953 to Alta suspended.
Route 972 to Brighton cut to 30 min.
Route 994 to Alta cut to 30 min.
In addition to reducing capacity, the decreased frequency will strongly discourage ridership.
