ICE spent over $1 billion buying 11 warehouses to cage human beings. Now it’s quietly trying to sell or give away seven of them, more than $700 million gone, with not a single facility open and an inspector general investigation hanging over the whole mess.

This is the waste they swore they were elected to root out.

The fraud, the abuse, the blank check spent without a plan.

They bought industrial buildings at up to $145 million apiece, before renovations, with no environmental review, no community buy-in, and no real strategy for what came next. Even Republican officials told them to stop. Taxpayers are left holding the bill for warehouses that detained no one and accomplished nothing but fear.

It’s total hypocrisy.

An administration that lectured the country about efficiency lit $700 million on fire as part of Stephen Miller’s cruel fantasy of mass detention. Imagine what that money could have done for veterans waiting on housing, for families crushed by costs, for the working people they claim to serve.

I’m glad this plan is dying. It was inhumane from the first day, designed to warehouse people far from the rule of law and basic decency. But being glad it failed does not erase how it failed, recklessly and expensively. We must have full accountability for the officials who pushed it.

This is just too funny...

Clips are spreading like wildfire across social media showing hundreds of Australia fans in several locations gleefully belting out the chant.

Australia will face off against the United States tomorrow in Seattle after triumphing over Turkiye this past weekend. Ahead of that showdown, the Aussies are waging a particularly funny brand of psychological warfare.

Predictably, supporters of the President are screeching their outrage all over X, with some calling for the Australian fans to be banned from the United States for the match. As usual, these Republicans believe in free speech until they hear speech that they don't like.

But the problem for MAGA is that Trump IS a sex offender. He's an adjudicated rapist and a self-admitted sexual predator. He's also an alleged pedophile and judging just by the Epstein files that we have seen, he preyed on little girls for years.

This is what the entire world now thinks of the American President.

The Oval Office used to inspire respect and awe, now it's the butt of every joke.

The original Monopoly was invented by a woman in 1904 to highlight the dangers of unchecked capitalism, she was told her concept was too complex, then the idea was stolen.

Long before Monopoly became a family game-night staple, it was a pointed critique of economic inequality. The game was originally created in 1904 by Elizabeth Magie, an American writer, inventor, and staunch supporter of economist Henry George’s ideas about land reform. She called it The Landlord’s Game and designed it to demonstrate how wealth accumulation and rent-seeking concentrated power in the hands of a few while impoverishing everyone else.

Magie patented the game in 1904, including two rule sets: one where players competed to monopolize property and another where everyone benefited equally from shared wealth — a direct moral lesson about the difference between greed and fairness. She hoped it would teach players that monopolies harm society.

Years later, Charles Darrow encountered a version of Magie’s game, modified and circulating informally among friends and communities. He sold it to Parker Brothers in the 1930s, claiming it as his own invention. The company bought Magie’s patent for just $500 and erased her name from history. Monopoly went on to become one of the best-selling board games of all time — ironically celebrating the very capitalist spirit it was meant to criticize.

Elizabeth Magie’s original 1904 patent for The Landlord’s Game remains one of the earliest known board game patents filed by a woman in the United States."

Soil compaction from excessive tourism and increasing heat and drought proved too much for this ancient, mighty oak.
