The Phantom Stage

This was the movement to save Universal Studios' Stage 28. But the landmark of Hollywood & U.S. history has fallen, laid ruin by its guardians. Such a shame!

#SaveTheTower @DCAToday is closing the #TowerofTerror. If you hope to save it, please SIGN & SHARE this #petition. https://t.co/WSUPwJfs1o

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

Only @UniStudios/@Comcast DIDN'T keep it. They lied & trashed both #Stage28 & the historic Paris Opera House set. https://t.co/JU9I48XHzE

[Je @SevariusTheGood]

Destroying #Stage28 but keeping the opera house set is like knocking down the Sistine Chapel but moving the ceiling to another place

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

Once, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA & #Stage28 mattered to @UniStudios. Not anymore. Get a glimpse of history lost here: https://t.co/33kt6LjphA

[Fantôme de l'Opéra @fantomedelopera]

These aren't good times for Phantom preservations. Last year, @UniStudios demolished @SaveStage28, which housed the original #PHANTOM set.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

Last I heard, this is what @UniStudios built in place of historic #Stage28. A landmark destroyed — for this!

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

Last I heard, it was a paved storage yard. Prior, #Stage28 was used for storage. So, why level it & destroy history? https://t.co/NWoGI7mCIu

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

The remains of #Stage28's Paris Opera House set are presumed discarded. @UniStudios fails to produce any evidence to the contrary.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

According to my source, the Paris Opera House facade could not withstand the saws & @UniStudios went ahead with its destruction.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

According to an extremely reliable inside source who wishes to remain anonymous to keep his job, it's all true. https://t.co/BO5cOLvrGF

[Fantôme de l'Opéra @fantomedelopera]

@SaveStage28 Tragic if true; has this information been verified? What has become of the remnants?

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

@InsideUniversal, do you have a current photo of the former #Stage28 site? Is it still a storage yard or has @UniStudios built a ride?

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

C'mon, @Comcast/@UniStudios & @Variety! Produce evidence that I'm wrong. Show the world your "preserved" #Stage28 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA set.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

@Variety, are you even aware that you were used by @UniStudios? Why no follow-up stories on #Stage28? Were you in on the public deception?

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

I'd like to know how @Variety feels about being duped by @Comcast/@UniStudios regarding #Stage28, destroying the publication's credibility.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

Tragedies like @UniStudios' destruction of #Stage28 are what happens when priceless relics are left to the care of fools & money-grubbers.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

@Comcast/@UniStudios will never admit that their greed & stupidity drove them to destroy an irreplaceable historical landmark. #Stage28

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

The jerks (and they are) at @UniStudios have NOT responded to ANY of my inquiries regarding #Stage28. They trashed it & staged a cover-up.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

The preservation failed. The set crumbled to bits when it was sawed into sections. @UniStudios was lying all along. https://t.co/uKM1MbfmhU

[Fantôme de l'Opéra @fantomedelopera]

One year after @UniStudios demolished @SaveStage28 where the 1925 #PHANTOM was shot, no news has emerged of the historic set’s preservation.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

@Comcast/@UniStudios, I think it's time to come clean with what you've done to an irreplaceable treasure of California and film history.

[The Phantom Stage @SaveStage28]

Again, if my source is wrong, I urge @Comcast/@UniStudios to produce evidence that Stage 28's Paris Opera House set was spared & is intact.
