However, they will suspend Hingham ferry direct line for now. These service changes will take place likely in late January.

Great news: Suspension of the Hull/Hingham ferry line is off the table!  The MBTA Fiscal and Management Control Board has revised their service cuts proposal regarding the ferry to retain the Hull/Hingham ferry route, but reduce the schedule to commuter hours in the AM and PM.

This is encouraging - T officials are evaluating whether cuts should be delayed and if so, for how long AND by how much.

The MBTA's Fiscal Management and Control Board held a nearly 6-hr meeting today. The main takeaway is that a FINAL plan on service reductions will now be presented NEXT Monday, Dec. 14 to give the MBTA more time to review the huge amount of public feedback they've received.

“The T has existing management rights to do things like run less frequent service and run shorter train sets... Cut back, don’t cut off. If you have to run a smaller boat to Hull, go ahead. Don’t stop running boats to Hull. That’s the difference.” #savetheferry
