The people of Clondalkin put up a good fight and I was very happy to have supported the campaign. There needs to be a serious discussion about church lands in Ireland, imo the state should take lands as compensation for the historical abuse against the people.

The Save Clondalkin Convent Campaign has been unsuccessful in its efforts to stop the sale of our convent& church lands by The Presentation Order despite our efforts since 2018.

#Bartra &the Presentation Nuns plan to build a nursing home surrounding this beautiful Gothic Convent.They will tear the insides of the Convent apart to house staff.Schools will loose any opportunity to expand& educate the growing population in Clondalkin. #SaveClondalkinConvent

The @sdublincoco heritage trail app launched today & features a section on Clondalkin's #Presentationconvent along with many other local historic sites of interest.
Unfortunatly the stunning views of the Convent will change drastically should its sale to #Bartra go ahead
