Yesterday, crews began the final step of restoring the Old River Bridge at Benton by lifting its first truss into place. The historic 1891 bridge had deteriorated after 1974 but will be used again as part of the new recreational Southwest Trail from Little Rock to Hot Springs.

A new #HistoricalMarker commemorates the important role of Black soldiers in AR in the Civil War. The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in LR celebrated #BlackHistoryMonth by dedicating it on Saturday.
