Chronicles of the Broke and Depressed:
Left the house in the middle of the night looking for a dessert place that was still open. No dice.
Ended up at Ralph's, found a box of cake pops that normally costs $5 in the discount bin for $1. Yes dice.

Hey! So, I'm joining my first campaign (session 0 is next week!) and I'm playing a Warforged. I was wondering if it would be okay to use some of the Mechanite lore you guys have laid out (specifically how they're born and the word "mechanite")
@jammi_dodger94 A couple I wanted to highlight. My favorite parts are, "Paracord to keep your soap off the ground!!"(....it's a string, bruh.) and, "Same soap used in the Korean War!!" (.......okayyyy??)
@jammi_dodger94 I guess I can't talk too much shit since they give part of their proceeds to veterans' charities, but still: This company is a Pointlessly Gendered Goldmine!

Brief thread: critics of Critical Race Theory say kids shouldn't be taught the role of racism in the development of America. But far worse is the propaganda my generation was taught, with books that papered over horrific inhumanity in the name of patriotism. To wit, books like...
@PhillyD I think one key is that people are tired of feigned neutrality; there’s no such thing as an unbiased person. Refusing to give your opinion used to be seen as responsible/professional, now people are seeing it as a kind of cowardice—refusing to take a stand on things that matter.
I was going to make a celebratory tweet but then I was hit with sadness because we are celebrating something that is clear as day. The fact that so many injustices occurred to make us hold our breath toward this outcome is really telling.
If I’m intubating a baby, and I grab a 1 Miller instead of a 00 Miller, I’ll know instantly.
If I’m intubating a baby, and you hand me a 3.5 ETT instead of a 2.5 ETT, I’ll know instantly.
If during surgery, you hand a surgeon a scalpel instead of a bovie, she’ll know instantly.
When you hear that an unhoused person “refused services” that includes...
- refused to give up their pet to get a short-term hotel room
- the shelter they were offered a space in isn’t safe for their gender/sexuality
- couldn’t consolidate all their belongings into two bags
