Hold on now...have you all seen the “volunteer” jobs page at the @MorganLibrary? https://t.co/IIRnckzBhH It was just been brought to our attention and 👀. They are replacing essential roles that should be good paying jobs with...let’s look more closely... /1
It's been 23 hours since I posted an Instagram story about my trip to
@Tate
. A load of people shared it there, tagging the protagonists, asking for answers. Have heard nowt, and it's about expire. So I'm going to have to dust off my Twitter to #askSOE - and I ask you to, too.

Shocked and saddened by exploitative nature of so many "volunteer" roles in Australian cultural institutions that demand HUGE time commitment + external research/preparation time commitment + postgrad qualification + previous experience in an institution for ZERO renumeration?!
Idk, maybe that it’s incredibly exploitative, devalues people’s work and creates an industry in which only people that are hugely privileged can survive?

What has happened in Christchurch is an extraordinary act of unprecedented violence. It has no place in New Zealand. Many of those affected will be members of our migrant communities – New Zealand is their home – they are us.
Managed to catch @royalacademy's beautiful #RAOceania yesterday. Don't think I've ever seen a crowd more engaged in video art than those watching @LisaReihana's confronting reappropriation of Les Sauvages de la mer Pacifique, in Pursuit of Venus [infected]. #Oceania
