Gross things that happen after you give birth:
1. The first poop is scary. Take the stool softener they offer you. Breathe, don't push.
2. Night sweats. You will wake up soaked for a week or two. Sleep on a towel.
3. You bleed for weeks, even after a C-section. The mesh underwear is your friend.
4. Everything swells. Ice pads look strange and feel amazing.
5. Sitting hurts. A donut pillow or a rolled towel on each side helps a lot.
6. Peeing can sting. Use the peri bottle every single time.
7. When your milk comes in you may leak through your shirt and the sheets.
8. Your hair falls out in handfuls around month three. It grows back.
9. Afterpains. Your uterus cramps while you feed, and it is worse with baby
10. You might cry at nothing on day three or four. That is the hormone drop.
