The Senate Finance Committee's report "Warehouses of Neglect: How Taxpayers Are Funding Systemic Abuse in Youth Residential Treatment Facilities" is mind blowing  🤯 Allegations were found of systemic and severe physical, sexual, and emotional abuse as well as inadequate care, unsafe and unsanitary conditions, and oversight and regulatory failures. Huge thank you to the committee for believing survivors and taking a stand. I know firsthand the horrors that happen behind the closed doors of these facilities...It's a nightmare that no child should ever have to endure. It's hard to imagine this still happens in the USA - but it does and we CANNOT ignore it!
