Building MatchSynth for my project @CricSynthesis taught me that cricket simulation isn't a prediction problem, it's a sequential decision problem. Every ball updates a complex Markov Decision Process, capturing score, wickets, matchups, and real-time field settings.

Pressure was the hardest variable to parameterize. We map dynamic match context (RRR, remaining wickets) directly into our reward functions. As pressure mounts, the neural network's decision policy shifts cleanly toward high-risk, high-reward action spaces.
