It's with great sadness we have to announce the impending power down of SayScape. Unfortunately, SayScape was never widely accepted, financial sustainability to operate has become too much.
On April 11th, 2021 SayScape will go dark

@Freak_Tattooed We would likely come up with something for initial supporters. It takes a lot of push to make something like this happen and the likelihood is slim but we will continue to look for options.
@JonathanFalcons @JasonMillerinDC @patmo61 In the end, the masses seem content having their data stolen, scraped, and sold as long as it's "free". Censorship became something to complain about and used for clout, not as something to fix. #SayScape had too much integrity and transparency for the masses to adopt.
@JonathanFalcons @JasonMillerinDC @patmo61 Going dark was mostly due to the lack of large scale support by those who kept asking for an alternative. Without the financial backing and the willingness to pay for influencer marketing, we were not able to sustain. We still maintain the files if/when we could recover.
@whobedannyd@CoolBlonde21 You are 100% correct sir. Social media is in reality, a marketing platform. It's not truly for social interaction anymore. The rise of "influencers" has changed that. Some of those individuals recieve as high as $100k per tweet from businesses. It's all about selling to you
Technology has been advancing much faster than cyber security procedures and measures evolve. Nothing is unhackable for those who have the will. This has been the case for decades.
Know how to make a crimal obey the law? Inform them they are doing illegal activity. See how dumb that sounds?
This insane logic is all too common and makes zero sense. If you don't want a gun, don't own a gun.
Referring to the now apparently defunct Parler here.
SayScape was a MUCH better platform. It was very similar to Twitter, only better, and it was founded and run by Veterans. I regret that they didn't have the following that they deserved.
I feel as though most things these days are done in an attempt to be the next "viral" video or controversial content. Standing up for what you believe in, while expecting nothing in return, is a thing of the past.
#Integrity: doing what's right even when nobody is watching
@blue_sky_45 You're very welcome and your support was more than enough. Money isn't everything, if we look to attempt a comeback, we will be looking to guage widespread support so it's not all for not, back in the same place. Something we might attempt before putting it to rest otherwise
Do people have social media fatigue?
Are there too many options?
Is there really a need for a platform that gives support features to #veterans?
These are answers we may soon find out for sure. We are considering putting the revitalization of #SayScape in the hands of the people
@SayScape If there is anyway I can help, please let me know. @SayScape was the best platform out there in my opinion. And I know it was hard to compete against commercialized platforms. You guys did it right!
@48PJ We had a brand new website version we were just about to release that would have solved many of those issues. The amount of people, we agree and that's what killed us.
@combatstressvet What we have found over the last couple of years
1. The masses want perfection and for free
2. Politically driven platforms get the attention
3. A very small group truly support and appreciate what we are trying to do
4. Influencers (who people listen to) want money to consider
#Twitter is slowly turning into a combination of Onlyfans and Pornhub. The level of grifting will match that of the former Prince of Kenya, who still owes me $6 million.
The crew is talking through some options to gauge interest, raise funding and build long term sustainability if goals are met. If it's discovered that the interest of the people isn't there, we permanently scrap the project. More information to come.
