actually generic medicines are NOT safe
Even branded ones fail regularly
No pharma company is Dhud ki dhuli
Noone checks govt. monthly CDSCO reports which I do.
Interestingly these monthly reports include both generic and branded medicines
But how can Branded medicines be unsafe ?
They are. Contrary to most people's beliefs. Check CDSCO website if you care
Actually the difference between branded and generic is primarily of Marketing only (thats the most diplomatic word I could come up with). Yes. Thats what answers the huge difference in their cost if you don't know it already. Not the safety standards.
Even this Branded vs Generic is a false dichotomy
Thats not how we should look at medicines as far as safety of medicines is concerned. Both can be unsafe. Govt's CDCSO monthly data says it.
Truth is if a patient's disease progresses, he doesn't question the quality of medicine (branded or generic). He blames it on God or doctor or his fate whatever you can call it. Thats the main problem. If noone knows if medicine quality can be the culprit , how will they even question it.
People need some tangible hardcore proof of quality not solace of "Branded meds" recommendation by doctors
Lab Test Public Report of EVERY batch of medicine . That too of a 3rd party independent laboratory
That is called some tangible Hardcore proof of quality of medicine
Thats what we provide
1st time in Bharat
What about Substandard meds causing AMR
Noone even talks about that. Everyone blams patients and the doctors
Patient takes 60% of req. API ( due to med. being substandard) and it becomes training camp for the bacteria to mutate
Will anyone care about quality of medicine as well ?
>FSSAI and CDSCO are Jokers!!
devika ji, substandard and fake fmcg is one part of this whole game
Real play happens in medicines
Govt.'s CDSCO Publishes a monthly alert about Substandard and Spurious meds which most people don't check but I do
https://t.co/8IF6H9zIMF
and interestingly these include so called "branded" and generics both
A person taking 500mg of a particular medicine may have no idea that 300mg is the actual amount of dosage present in that medicine
its a chaos
@nikhilkamathcio Nikhil , Quality issues in generics as well as branded meds as per govt.'s monthly CDSCO alerts
Did you dare to Question them about that ?
@DrGd93022@aditya_gan3500@theliverdoc >I have personally found a few differences in a few medicines I have prescribed though
thats possible due to batch to batch inconsistency which one-off testing he did does not account for
actually this branded vs generic dichotomy is in itself a sham krishnamurthy ji
even "branded" fail in monthly Govt.CDSCO alerts
https://t.co/8IF6H9zIMF
especially when the difference between branded and generic is mainly of marketing only rather quality which is the popular belief
@dietofchampionb@ATruesec@nirmalregency his paper got published
but you are still kinda right
though anecdotal evidence, the reputation of Frontiers is questionable in Academia community
https://t.co/ntcgy0OIpm
Also govt. CDSCO's monthly data show a different picture https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
@docbhooshan@neeran >doctors will have to find inexpensive ways to monitor outcome.
we can be the option sir as we lab test each batch of medicine and make report public for anyone to see and question
@neeran@docbhooshan >My lingering concern is with the ‘consistency’ parameter.
exactly
especially when govt's CDCSO monthly alert (substandard+spurious) clearly shows the numbers -https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
@navybluestoic >In Protein Project 2, Jan Aushadhi Whey Protein was found to contain sucrose)
but in either case its one-off testing. Sometimes some batch passes the test and some batch fails
batch to consistency is the main issue here
@ara_shaik he tried his best but still the conclusion should not be fully applied to all the generics sold in the Indian market
especially when govt's CDCSO monthly alert (substandard+spurious) clearly shows the numbers -https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
>I strongly believe no doctor should pressure patients about where to buy medicines
sometimes its greed but sometimes doctors genuinely fear poor quality of generics
especially when govt's CDCSO monthly alert (substandard+spurious) clearly shows the numbers - https://t.co/8IF6H9zIMF
@steth_talks its still very limited in scope sir
Govt.'s CDSCO monthly data (Substandard+ Spurious) show a different picture- https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
Govt. monthly data does not lie
@HShewade@theliverdoc hemant ji, this is one -off testing . What about batch to batch inconsistency
Also Govt.'s CDSCO monthly data (Substandard+ Spurious) show a different picture- https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
Govt. monthly data does not lie
@Dr_longgbottom but govt.'s CDSCO monthly data (Substandard+ Spurious) show a different picture- https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
Govt. monthly data does not lie
@DRARN93 >But if this study is standardised and true
Not really
Govt.'s CDSCO monthly data (Substandard+ Spurious) show a different picture- https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
Govt. monthly data does not lie
@neuronsmultiply but this is one -off testing . What about batch to batch inconsistency
Also Govt.'s CDSCO monthly data (Substandard+ Spurious) show a different picture- https://t.co/XMKCljQmrm
Govt. monthly data does not lie
>What needs to be questioned in the country is the Ethical Code , DNA of the Manufacturers and why Govts are protecting their bad practices in the name of Ease of Doing Business Assurance, Decriminalisation of offences in yhe name of Jan Vishwas Act
Thats what we are trying to question through our blogs and youtube webinars. I know thats not enough, but people like you can help us amplify the message
1st time in bharat, we are trying to do something different through our online pharmacy
Lab tested generics as per Indian Pharmacopoeia with a public report for anyone to see and question
Every batch is tested and that too in a 3rd party NABL laboratory.
Aim is to make available affordable and high Quality meds to people of our bharat
