পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পর্যটন দপ্তর একটি নতুন লোগো উদ্বোধন করেছে দেখলাম। জানি না দপ্তরের কোন আমলাদের মস্তিষ্কের ফসল এটি! একটি অস্কার প্রাপ্য ক্রিয়েটিভ ডাইরেক্টরের।

AI এর ভয়ানক আনাড়ি কাজ, বাচ্চারাও এর চেয়ে নিপুণ AI মন্তাজ ইদানিং Kling AI, Higgsfield বা ফ্রি Grok Gemini দিয়ে বানায়।

দ্বিতীয়ত পশ্চিমবঙ্গের পাহাড় থেকে সাগর, বনাঞ্চল থেকে শহর থাকতে আইফেল টাওয়ার, সেন্ট পিটার্সবার্গ, ক্রাইস্ট দ্য রিডিমার ইত্যাদির বিনেপয়সার বিজ্ঞাপন করে লাভ কি হল কে জানে! লোগোটাও ঠিক বুঝলাম না। মানে সই ছিল শুধু? গভীরতা তো দেখলাম না কিছু। আবেগ ছেড়েই দিলাম ক্যাম্পেইনের মাধ্যমে।

কেন কথাগুলো লিখলাম? কারণ দেশে বিভিন্ন বিজেপি সরকারই দেখিয়েছেন travel marketing কাকে বলে! হিন্দুস্থান কা দিল দেখো campaign মনে আছে? ইয়েস স্যার। পীযূষ পান্ডেকে দিয়ে বিজেপি সরকার বানিয়েছিল। কিংবা গুজরাত পর্যটন দপ্তরের একের পর এক কালজয়ী বিজ্ঞাপন। দেশের আইডেন্টিটি হয়ে যায় Incredible India! ওদিকে সিপিএম সরকার কেরালায় যতই নাস্তিক সাজুক, পর্যটন টানতে সবচেয়ে মারাত্মক লাইন নেয়- নারায়ণের নিজের দেশে আসুন, Welcome to God’s Own Country!

এক ট্রিলিয়ন ডলারের একটা ইন্ডাস্ট্রি পর্যটন। আশাকরি এই সরকার সেটা বুঝে dollar remittence এর জন্য জান- প্রাণ লাগিয়ে দেবে আর বাংলাও পাবে একটা কালজয়ী ব্র্যান্ডিং যা দেখে বিদেশ থেকেও মানুষ আসবে স্রেফ শীতের ভোরবেলা খেজুরের রস খেতে। হয়তো শ্রীচৈতন্যদেবকে খুঁজতে মাসের পর মাস রাশিয়া থেকে পরে থাকবে লাখ লাখ মানুষ। হয়তো তন্ত্র tourism করতে বীরভূমে গিয়ে থাকবে কোন ভিয়েতনামের দল। সম্ভাবনা অনেক, কাজে লাগাতে পারবে?

আপাতত বাংলার পুরনো ট্যুরিজম campaign “প্রাণের মানুষ তুই ঘরে আয় রে” টাই সৃজনশীল একজন মানুষ হিসেবে বেছে নিলাম। ওই যে এক বিদেশিনীর বাংলা আবিষ্কার। শেষ সিনে শাহরুখ খান গেয়ে উঠলেন আমি চিনি গো চিনি তোমারে, ট্রাম এগিয়ে গেল বাংলার বিজ্ঞাপনী লাইন নিয়ে!
