Sayed Sayeed, a 24-year-old Palestinian from Gaza, supports his six family members as their sole provider. Living in a cramped, rented room costing $250 a month, they struggle to afford basic necessities. Displaced twice after their home was destroyed in the genocide, the family faces ongoing hardship. Sayed’s 14-year-old brother, severely injured by shrapnel to the head, remains in a hospital, awaiting critical surgery they cannot afford. With limited access to food, water, and medication, Sayed, once a hopeful university student nearing graduation, now focuses on keeping his family alive. Despite losing his home and his best friend in the genocide, he remains determined to secure a safer future for his siblings through education and a small income-generating project.
