He was the No. 1 football player in the country…
But scouts said he was "too smart" for the NFL, so he chose a different path.
This is the unbelievable story of Myron Rolle: 🧵👇
A friend of mine is in a really tough spot—going through a nasty divorce and custody battle, running a demanding business, and facing mounting bills.
What’s worse, there’s no end in sight.
Everyone goes through at least one dark period in life—I certainly have. When that happens, here’s a simple 2-step formula I use to stay sane:
1) Get good at compartmentalizing
When negative feelings from one part of life bleed into everything else, they can create a downward spiral. I've learned that consciously setting these worries aside, even for short periods, allows me to recharge. It’s a mental skill that takes practice, but it really helps.
2) Have something to look forward to
Always have at least one thing on your calendar to look forward to. It can be a small thing like going to the gym or meeting a friend for coffee, or something bigger like an exotic vacation. Knowing that something good is just around the corner provides motivation to push through difficult days.
This 1-2 combo has helped me weather some of life’s toughest storms. Give it a shot—I bet it’ll help you too.
Woke up to seeing the Capitals clinching the very first playoff berth of any NHL team this season
Alex Ovechkin is breaking the record & the Capitals are winning it all.
