Talking about a meta-analysis on the effets of light pollution on avian performance 💡 🐦 🦜 🦆🐧
@ISBE2024 was such an amazing experience. It was ravishing 🤩
Thank you @IoES_JU to support my participation. I truly got a step forward in my PhD career🤓📕🎓
A reminder that early bird registration for #ISBE2024 closes at 23:59 on 28 June 2024 Australian Eastern Standard Time. Details: https://t.co/qmvCJ3ztbT

Biological clocks in the wild: How does light at night impact the development of a migratory bird?
We presented results of 3 fieldwork seasons with collared flycatchers in two different conferences this year 🇵🇱 🇸🇪
Special thanks to Dr Edyta Sadowska - the Chairperson of #PEC2023 for making the 9th Polish Evolutionary Conference possible and to @JagiellonskiUni@PAN_akademia for all the support!
Electrical signaling in Venus Flytrap shown in real-time⚡️ Touching the trigger hairs of the trap causes an influx of calcium ions (shown on top) that spreads rapidly across the leaf. Two action potentials and the leaves quickly close to trap their prey 🪰
Here's the final program for the 'Consequences of citizens' behaviour on wild animals' behaviour' symposium at @2023Behaviour. I look forward to these exciting presentations!

Light pollution is altering nesting ecology and consequently its outcomes in free-ranging birds. Thus, we aim to provide more insights into the effects of ALAN on different aspects of development in collared flycatchers in more field seasons: 2023 & 2024

Surprisingly, we observed that nestlings under light treatment spent more time in the nest and more of them fledged successfully compared with control group.
