@BrianBrenberg So did Neil Young who, if memory serves, removed his content from Spotify to protest Rogan only to put it back when no one listened. Literally. Don’t get me wrong. I like his music but I’m not dumping Spotify for him. Because MUSIC.
Yesterday we took a male relative out for lunch. He’s in his early 60s.
I opted to sit in the backseat, so he could have the passenger seat and before he opened his car door, he reached up and quietly opened my car door.
Just hand on the door handle, opening it enough for me to get in. Took all of three seconds.
I’ve been thinking about that gesture since it happened. It’s the kind of gesture women need more of—a man acting with good manners, quietly and without drawing attention to himself, doing something small to communicate, ‘I see that you’re a woman, and I would never hurt you—I’d only protect and honor you.’
Maybe that interaction seems so insignificant, but I think it’s the very thing that, if experienced regularly, would build trust and respect.
In that moment, I sensed he was safe and trustworthy, which made me respect him even more. Such a small gesture with such a big ripple.

From 4/1-10/31/23, you’ll need a #ArchesTicket to enter the park. After last year’s pilot, we expect timed entry to provide more reliable park access and improve visitor experiences—all while protecting Arches’ extraordinary landscape. Learn more: https://t.co/RPMeilRelx
OK. Here's an idea. What if everybody wore blue and yellow on Tuesday 1 March to show that we #StandWithUkraine? It's the very least we can do. Retweet if you're up for it! PLEASE let's make this happen. #blueyellowTuesday
Let us ask ourselves what type of words we use. Words that express care, respect, understanding, closeness, compassion, or do we pollute the world by spreading venom: criticizing, complaining, feeding widespread aggression? #GospeloftheDay (Lk 6,39-46)
