A nonprofit bought 638 acres of private land bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park so it can be transferred to the National Park Service and protected from development.

The land is called the Oliver Tract, near Townsend and Cades Cove, and it’s being called one of the largest potential additions to the park in decades.

A Denver Public Schools Board voted to fire Jennifer Honka, an LGBT activist teacher, after she was constantly forcing children to kiss those of the same sex in class and graded them on the act to the extent that attendance dropped dramatically as a result.
