►Sarita Married Hari who was a watchman in a Govt Hospital in 2013.
►Sarita filed for Divorce in 2015.
►Hari died in 2019 while the Divorce case was still pending in the Court.
►Sarita promptly applied for a compassionate appointment for the post occupied by her late husband after his death.
►Brother of Hari objected to the same and filled a case in High Court challenging the same but few months back he also died.
►Justice Pankaj Purohit observed that even after filing for divorce, the couple’s status as husband and wife is maintained by the courts until the matter is concluded and hence ordered the Govt to give the job to Sarita. Justice served?
