ЁЯЪиSTATEMENT
We are deeply concerned by multiple reports reaching us of students and other protestors being targeted, detained, or arrested by various state agencies, particularly in Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar.
The Cockroach Janta Party had called off its nationwide protest only after the Government of India assured us that no punitive action would be taken against any protestor, either now or in the future, in any BJP-ruled or NDA-ruled states. The reports emerging from these states are therefore a matter of grave concern.
First, we wish to assure every protestor that our legal team is already coordinating with brilliant lawyers in the concerned states to secure the release of those detained and to extend all possible legal assistance. This has been happening from Day 1.
Second, we call upon the Government of India, particularly @JPNadda ji and @DrJitendraSingh ji, to immediately honour the assurance given to us by ensuring the release of those detained and by directing that no coercive or retaliatory action is taken against any protestor anywhere in the country. The FIRs registered ought to be withdrawn too.
The Government of India is also reminded of its commitment to furnish us the written guarantee in this regard by tomorrow, Tuesday, 28 July 2026.
Our decision to suspend the nationwide protest was taken in good faith and solely on the basis of the governmentтАЩs assurance that it would stand by its word. Any departure from that assurance would not merely amount to a breach of trust with the Cockroach Janta Party but would also be a breach of public trust with lakhs of young Indians who chose dialogue over protests.
Such breach of trust will be completely unacceptable to the youth.
The Government of India is reminded that it derives credibility not from just making a promise, but from the promises they honour.
To the young protestors we say, hold on. We are with you. The CJP continues to closely monitor the situation and expects the Government of India and all BJP/NDA state governments to act with utmost urgency, responsibility, and good faith that the present circumstances demand. We demand that all detainees/arrestees be released immediately, and in any case by tomorrow, and that all FIRs be withdrawn immediately, failing which we shall take further necessary steps.
@Cockroachisback
Dear @JPNadda@DrJitendraSingh ji,
We are observing a complete breach of the agreement regarding no police action against the protestors. Hundreds of students have been arrested in Bihar and Bengal, and hundreds are being surveilled/harrassed in Delhi and other states. Multiple reports are emerging in Delhi around detention of volunteers supporting protestors with logistics.
We demand that all the FIRs against the protestors be immediately withdrawn, students be released and no future FIRs be filed (in line with our agreement) by Delhi police / Central investigative agencies / Police in BJP-allied states, FAILING WHICH WE WILL BE FORCED TO SIT ON PROTEST AGAIN.
We also demand that the written agreement around legal cases be shared with us by tomorrow, the aligned timelines with the Government of India.
@amitmalviya BJP is a тАШpoliticalтАЩ party. BJP is in the centre. One of the central tenet of Democracy (a word which BJP has supposedly not understood in the past 12 years) is тАШOppositionтАЩ. So @amitmalviya every challenge to the government will be тАШpoliticalтАЩ. maybe read a class 9 civics book.
@sudhirchaudhary literally used pellet guns in the capital of the country as тАШproportionate control measureтАЩ and the audacity to say dande maarke bhaga sakti thi sarkaar
This protest has proved that these two independent YouTubers have better credibility than mainstream news channels.
Great work @Samdish@sundaysarthak. This country needs more like you!!

Police in New Delhi used tear gas, batons, and internet shutdowns against largely peaceful student-led protests on July 20 ЁЯз╡тд╡я╕П

Yesterday, the nation witnessed lathicharges, tear gas shells, and the crushing of a peaceful Democratic protest by the Government. The voices of students demanding justice were met with force instead of answers. This is not how a 'Mother of Democracy' treats its young children.
In these painful circumstances, I have decided not to celebrate my birthday today.
I am deeply grateful to all Congress leaders, workers, supporters, well wishers, and every citizen who has conveyed their warm wishes. Your affection means a great deal to me, and I thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart.
But today is not a day for celebration. It is a day to seek accountability. Restore Democracy.
Why were students demanding justice met with brutal lathis and tear gas? Why was the Parliament virtually sealed and the internet shutdown? Who will take responsibility for repeated paper leaks and the suffering of lakhs of young people?
1) The government must immediately allow a full discussion on this issue in Parliament.
2) Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, must resign, taking moral and political responsibility for the matter.
3) A 21st century student centric examination system with secure digital question banks and randomised papers.
4) An independent and merit driven education system, with higher spending on education, free from the political interference of the RSS.
5) Statutory protection for students through mandatory re-examinations and compensation, whenever examination irregularities occur.
Our children deserve justice, not repression.
Viral allegation by @PMFNEWS that goons were deployed along with the @DelhiPolice - they assaulted students & protesters (in this case for just asking a question)
I'm sure that Delhi Police spokesperson will have an explanation (like this man is their Hamza or something) However - are plainclothes cops allowed to sport gold earrings? Cool perk!
(see the brutality of this goon / policeman below ЁЯСЗЁЯП╝)
THIS is the training that Modi Govt is providing ?!
Person is standing still while being whipped with a heavy duty polycarbonate stick.
YET it slips it out of his hands??
If you want to keep crushing citizen voices - youтАЩll have to train your guards to be brutality efficient.
Who are these 'lathiveers' without uniform, who were beating students? If they are policemen, the police dept should reveal identity.
If they're not, they should be identified too and the nation should know who authorised them.
