๐งต Just finished watching @serpentqueen. I really liked it, but feel the need to rant about something that bothers me in a lot of history-based dramas; when extra dramatic plots that didn't happen in reality are added unnecessarily to the story... #TheSerpentQueen#history
Samantha Morton kills it as Catherine with her subtlety and quiet menace, Diane's character is PERFECT, Rupert Everett as Charles V is an absolute unexpected treat, Mary is hilariously accurate, and mama Guise steals every scene she's in. Great show overall!

On the plus side: the casting is perfect, the costumes are inspired by real dresses from portraits, the chatter between the Guise and Bourbon brothers is very funny, and seeing Mary finally portrayed accurately as the self-righteous brat she was is a breath of fresh air.
Just realized I've been listening to @sinisterhoodpod since @mckvstheworld was still a single lady & Ella was just a toddler! Never stop shitting in parking lots & please visit Florida more, Miami needs you, I promise it's beautiful & you'll both love it!!! ๐
@dieworkwear Yes, you are looking at a mofo who wore full hair and white lace while charging into battle like a real man because if you're gonna be slaying you may as well do it with style.
@dieworkwear Philippe I, Duke of Orlรฉans (Louis XIV's younger brother), was known for his homosexual relationships & wore flamboyant, feminine attire into battle. Also known for his fierce leadership & bravery. Despite gossip, he earned the love, respect, & absolute devotion of his soldiers.
