@EmediongTG All these would have held true maybe 3 years ago.
In present day Nigeria, you can't escape the "heavy political commentary" stirring you in the face.
The country is literally hanging by a thread, even kids know this.
You either face it or it faces you, no middle ground.
@Eeoghenekevwe He's dealing with a cunning and crafty ruling party that are CLEARLY trying to set a trap for him and by extension the NDC.
He has simply debunked it to play safe.
That's exactly what an intelligent opposition in present day Nigeria should do.
You can still protest if you want
PRESS STATEMENT
Our attention has been drawn to a message currently circulating on social media falsely claiming that we are planning a protest over the rising insecurity in the country.
We do not support any action that could lead to the breakdown of public order or the destruction of lives and property. As responsible leaders, we remain committed to peaceful and constructive approaches in addressing national challenges.
As committed democrats, we firmly believe that the ballot box remains the most legitimate and effective way to express grievances and seek change. Our party, the NDC, is confident of securing a resounding victory in the upcoming elections through peaceful democratic means.
The general public is therefore advised to disregard the false message and ignore those peddling such disinformation.
Signed,
Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE
Former Governor, Kano State
NDC Vice Presidential Candidate
I am deeply disturbed by the ongoing plight of the abducted students and teachers, kidnapped from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Like many other victims still in captivity, they have endured prolonged hardship, missing precious moments including the recent festivities with their families and loved ones.
It is imperative that the government treats their rescue as a matter of urgent priority, while taking decisive steps to prevent such incidents from recurring.
Nigeria must break free from the chains of insecurity. The dignity and sanctity of every human life must be protected. - RMK
Yes. That is exactly why we exist.
If you believe Nigeria needs fearless journalism that isn't controlled by politicians or oligarchs, help more people find gst. Share our work. Tell your friends about us.
The elections are coming. We'll be here.
"My President Tinubu, he must step down...let another person try it..."
Kudi Odesomi says that worsening conditions and rising insecurity in the country are making life harder for ordinary citizens and calls for a change in leadership.
@Chetuyachinago What exactly are you waffling about???
What has the cursed Nigerian got to do with British and whatever crap???
Are we the only country Britain colonized????
Other former British colony have literally made headway and insane progress while we waffle here about nonsense

None of these folks was elected. If the President is not too busy to receive politicians at his Ikoyi Home, what stops him from meeting with the victims in person?
This stat is making the rounds but missing the obvious, key context:
Wenger was one man down and was forced to play like this.
Arteta CHOSE to play like this with his full team.
