This reminds me of what Alexandra Nijhof, a Dutch Halliburton employee told me 20 years ago about what they were about to do to Kenya. They had a massive database of info from the Kenyan Government that they were about to leak to this new website called Wikileaks and the purpose of the operation was to make the Government fall. According to her they had an insider who, once the Govt had fallen, was positioned to take over a Govt role which would enable them to award an oil exploration concession in Kenyan waters to their company (not Halliburton). Hey Mas?

She asked me what I thought about that, her exact words were "what do you think about that?".

My reply was "a platform such as this is too important to be misused in such a manner". She looked hurt at my response, just in her eyes.

The only reason this attached story below reminds me of what Nijhof inexplicably told me over a beer in her backyard in Scarborough whilst I was still an Army employee just before the Kenyan leaks were published on Wikileaks is because with all of these positions in the US National Security Council now vacant new people will be taking over their roles and will likely be serving a purpose of some description.

A 37-year-old Palestinian asylum seeker from Gaza has been arrested in Greece on suspicion of being a Hamas operative. Authorities say he trained with Hamas in Gaza, received explosives training in Malaysia, built a bomb lab in an Athens apartment, and was linked to four Palestinians arrested in Cyprus on terrorism-related charges.

Police seized chemicals, laboratory equipment, phones, laptops, hard drives, and bank cards. According to reports, he admitted being a Hamas operative and was waiting for instructions before launching an attack.

Greek authorities are investigating whether the target was the Israeli-owned Crown Iris cruise ship due to arrive in Crete on Tuesday, the same vessel that faced anti-Israel protests in Greece last year.

For thirty-five years it was illegal to put a particular red dye in your lipstick, because it caused cancer in laboratory animals. It stayed perfectly legal to put the same dye in sweets aimed at children.

The dye is Red 3, the bright cherry colouring known in the trade as erythrosine. In 1990 the American regulator banned it from cosmetics and skin creams, having accepted that it caused thyroid cancer in rats. There is a law, the Delaney Clause, that is meant to be simple. If an additive causes cancer in people or animals, it should not be in the food supply.

So it came out of the lipstick.

It stayed in the food. Sweets, cakes, frostings, some medicines, the cheerful red things pointed straight at children. For more than three decades the very same substance was judged too dangerous to wear on your lips and perfectly fine to feed to a five-year-old.

It took until January 2025, after a campaign group filed a formal petition, for the regulator to finally pull it from food as well. Manufacturers have until 2027 to take it out.

For thirty-five years the system held two positions at once. Too risky for your face. Acceptable for your child's mouth. And it took an outside group, not the regulator, to finally force the contradiction shut.

These are the people whose judgement you are told to trust completely on butter, beef and salt.
