Journalist of the Year National goes to @ScarletHowes at @TheSun. The judges said "from exposing a national treasure to revealing the abuse taking place in the rehearsal rooms of Strictly, Scarlet has led the media’s attention over the past year" #MFA2024

EXCL: Drug dealer Jasveen Sangha - dubbed the "Ketamine Queen" - who supplied Matthew Perry with the dose that killed him broke her silence to The Sun to apologise to his family. She revealed how she spends her days in a Los Angeles jail helping others with their addictions and said her actions were "reckless and wrong".
This is a gripping read into how @TheSun and @ScarletHowes nailed Huw Edwards despite the BBC and leftist media closing ranks.
Have those establishment hacks apologised for defending Edwards and throwing mud at The Sun yet? You know who you are.

Furious viewers are demanding to know why Huw Edwards isn't in jail. It comes after the Channel 5 show about his downfall aired this week with a peak live audience of nearly 2million and people praising Martin Clunes for his "career-defining" performance.
I wasn’t wildly impressed with Channel Five’s dramatisation of the fall of Huw Edwards.
But it should at least remind people that it was good old-fashioned tabloid journalism in the public interest by the Sun – and especially the now North America editor Scarlet Howes – that uncovered exactly what the newsreader had been up to.

Big audience at 9pm for @channel5_tv drama ‘Power: The Downfall of Huw Edwards’, the disgraced BBC presenter, 1.5m average audience across near 2 hour slot, peak of 1.8m+. Stunning performance by Martin Clunes in title role. Ratings data from @Digital_i_
My god, Power: #TheDownfallOfHuwEdwards. Powerful. Accurate. Martin Clunes as Huw Edward’s is uncanny.
Had it not have been for the journalism of @TheSun and @ScarletHowes, we would not have been made aware of Huw Edward’s activities and disgraceful actions.
Set aside 1hr50 to watch it on Channel 5. Absolutely harrowing, yet perfectly cast and the Ryans story told with 100% accuracy!
It was a pleasure to speak at the @EditorsUK Media Freedom Conference alongside my brilliant panelists about how film and TV can influence the perception of journalism - ahead of the Channel 5 dramatization of The Sun's Huw Edwards scoop.
Channel 5 dramatisation of Huw Edwards' downfall is needed to show tabloid journalists care and to give victims a voice, says journalist behind initial scoop @ScarletHowes
