they all constantly change their minds mid-conversation after zero argument, they just need to be asked 2-3 times and then it's a guaranteed yes. why is every conversation in the show formatted like this

a: but we have to. it's the only way

b: ok, fine, you've convinced me. we'll do it

b: can't. it's classified. i'd lose my job.

a: but i need to know

b: ok, sold. here is every state secret i know

just read in an article that a married woman historically was "obliged to relinquish her identity as an adult human being to serve the needs of her husband and children" and, like, i understand that it's hyperbole but i really dislike this sort of rhetoric... 1/

this kind of hyperbolic rhetoric is obviously reductive and is just trying to make a real and valid point, but it does harm to the way that our society views history and propogates really unhelpful myths that actively shape our understandings of ourselves and our teleology 10/10
