To commemorate this discovery and on display for the first time, behold R2-D2 and C-3PO special mint #1976. These are the first ever official Star Wars digital collectibles known to exist in the galaxy and possibly the universe.
These 24-karat gold encrusted droids are hidden in an impenetrable vault made possible by the genius minds of @DavidYuNZ and @Daniel00077
Special thanks to @Namecoast for making a deal with a sea monster 🐙
DID YOU KNOW the first appearance of @starwars was actually in a book?
The Star Wars universe was first introduced to the public in 1976 through the novelization of "Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker".
It was released BEFORE the movie "Star Wars" (later titled Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope), which hit theaters in 1977, serving as a way to promote the film.
Depending on the condition, this book is currently selling for an average price of around $100 on @eBay. We were lucky enough to pick up this mint copy last year!
@GratefulDon33 @Corbu1985@veve_official Your definition of off-market is clearly different than how it’s commonly understood in the community. Item and monetary transfer were all done in-app. And to your comment about risk and blame… please refer to the original post. We all know the risks.
@Corbu1985@veve_official Bummer it didn’t work out with the trade. Hopefully private offers get implemented soon so things like this don’t happen. Best of luck and don’t let this stop you from enjoying your collecting.
