Cabo Verde, the definition of believing in yourself.
A World Cup debutant. One of the smallest nations to ever reach this stage. Facing Argentina, Messi, and the weight of world football.
And they did not blink.
They went goal for goal, moment for moment, belief for belief. They pushed the reigning champions into extra time and reminded the world that football is about courage, discipline, and the refusal to feel small.
Cabo Verde may be out, but they leave with the respect of the world.
What a team. What a story.
Olise is such a ridiculous talent. This team is absurd. France has a 2025 Ballon d'Or winner in their attacking group and, at this point, that player is often the third attacking threat mentioned in the team.
@WadeintheYYC@TorontoStar The legal system is not objective and it’s not supposed to be. Laws are objective. Their application is subjective. I think that’s why your analysis is wrong. Math is objective. Science is objective. AI should be great at those. Not at mimicking humans. It’s terrible at that.
@WadeintheYYC@TorontoStar Law is created by humans to serve humans in solving human problems. That’s the whole point. AI may be good at research (that you doublecheck) but not for reasoning or argument. AI will never be better at being a lawyer than an actual lawyer. By definition.

But then Todd Blanche's office got involved & told investigators: pencils down.

R. v. Berg, 2026 SCC 21: Short but very significant clarification on W.D. today. The Crown cannot rely on the mere acceptance of a complainant's evidence to reject the testimony of the accused.
