Drummer Ricky Fataar can be heard on the TBA releases "After Hours - The Glen Holly Jams" (TBACD 24/25), and on "Naked II" (TBACD 23), although it is not sure on which tracks he plays. He and Bobby Berger played. Rocky went on to be a great producer, i.e. for Bonnie Raitt.
Tommy Bolin and Ricky Fataar. Ricky was the drummer in Joe Walsh‘s band Barnstorm. He played with Tommy during 1975/76 at Glenn Holy studios of Philip Tolimeni in Los Angeles, and at Brothers studios of the Beach Boys in Santa Monica.
Another foto showing Tommy playing at the Sioux City Rhythm Festival, ca. 1965. One of the bands he played with that night was "A Patch Of Blue", the band we have his first audio recordings of.
@RailwaySiding77 At one of Deep Purple's New York concerts on Jan-22/23, 1976, a furious, drunken John Bonham stormed the stage, complaining about the band's playing. Security had to accompany him out.
@RailwaySiding77 Do you mean hat Tommy never played with Led Zeppelin? They met as early as 1969, when Led Zeppelin and Zephyr played the Boston Tea Party event. I don’t think they ever jammed together. But definitely hung out - Bonham and Tommy had many parties in Los Angeles, summer 1976.
Tommy Bolin and his mom, ca 1967. One photo of the series (not shown here) was in the booklet of The Ultimate…. boxset that appeared in 1989. Here are the other ones.
Tommy Bolin and Karen Ulibarri. Must be 1976, when they had massive relationship problems. Karen ended up marrying Glenn Hughes in June 1977.. Tommy was with his Swiss girlfriend Valeria Monzeglio from Aug-Dec 1976. She was present the night Tommy died in Miami, Dec-3, 1977.
Tommy Bolin and Karen Ulibarri in the photo booth in Boulder where many happy photos of the couple were made. Must be around 1968-69, right at the beginning of the formation of Zephyr.
@TommyBolinFans @DeepPurplePod Funny radio promo spot for Tommy Bolin‘s Teaser album, 1975. Excuse the bad quality, it‘s still fun to listen to that rarity. From my personal collection.
14/14_2 Two more pictures of the Yamaha "SX-125 Custom" (Serial No. : 38073) with stop-tailpiece that Tommy Bolin received from Yamaha on Dec-8-1975. This is the one he took back home in the US, while the second one was left at Yamaha's.
