One reliable way I found was to throw railgun at it and shoot the head with quasar cannon (They fixed the head), but other than that - it'll be a basketball time.

I recently found stun greandes to be a fine counter measure, along with jump/warp pack to quickly reach the weak spot and unleash hell with almost whatever you like.
