Canada has had retaliatory measures in place against the U.S. for at least a YEAR.

Dairy has been discriminatory against American producers for even longer — and Carney’s government gave Europeans a better deal than the U.S.

Provinces slapped hard caps/quotas on U.S. cars and total bans or restrictions on American alcohol and liquor.

The U.S. tried for over a year to get Canada to drop this crap. They gave us the best treatment available in the world.

But under Carney’s office, it kept escalating.

Now Trump responds with tariffs — and Greer says flat out: “For us, this is business. This is trade. This is economics. We’re looking at bottom lines.”

Exactly. Not personal. Just consequences.

Carney’s team picked the fight, dragged it out for a full year, refused to fix the discriminatory policies, and now Canadian farmers, auto workers, exporters and consumers get hit.

This is the “master negotiator” in action.

Canada deserves leaders who actually protect our interests instead of poking the bear and then acting surprised when it swipes back.

I've noticed over the last day that the media has been leaving out "dairy" from the conversation. Even this CBC headline only mentions hockey equipment & down jackets?
Most news stories from all MSM also don't mention it. I've only heard one say Trump is targeting "milk"

Thats how powerful the dairy cartel in Canada is & they don't want Canadians to catch on to just how political that sector is.

The Liberals practically marketed him as an 𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗖 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗡. Now the tough talk is shrinking by the day and the excuses are already being drafted.

The likely outcome is obvious to me, and it should already be to you!

Carney gives Donald more ground, Trump removes just enough pressure to claim victory. Autos. Dairy. Defense. Border measures. Market access. Then the Liberals hold hold a presser to basically say that Canada has only been 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 without saying it out loud.

Carney will stand behind a podium and clear his throat, take a sip of water first. Then explain that getting pushed backward was actually a sophisticated form of 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠 and was always his plan.

Then the Liberal propaganda machine switches on.

𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 becomes “stability.”
𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 becomes “pragmatism.”

Broken promises become “responsible leadership.”

Losing more elegantly becomes proof that Carney somehow saved Canada. But Carney did not campaign as the man who could manage retreat.

He campaigned as the man who would 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗣.

Then he'll ask Canadians to confuse failure and 𝗗𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟 with strength.

One thing I’ve noticed is that our media & politicians don’t ever give any more information than what is needed. Example, Trump puts a new 50% tariff on dairy. All Canadians hear is, orange man bad, he put another tariff on dairy…they never explain why exactly it happened. Canada wants to pretend to the public that they are completely innocent & being attacked. That’s definitely not the truth.

Under the USMCA, Canada agreed to give U.S. dairy producers additional access to its market. The U.S. argued that Canada administers those import quotas in a way that favors Canadian processors and limits opportunities for U.S. exporters. It’s led to multiple trade disputes.

Canada's rules do make it harder for U.S. dairy products to reach Canadian consumers than the U.S. believes was promised under the trade agreement, while Canada says it’s complying with the agreement and protecting a domestic system that clearly has politics behind it.

The disagreement regarding wine is less about the product itself and more about whether Canadian rules give domestic producers an advantage that the U.S. believes is inconsistent with USMCA trade commitments.
