ScholarBitBook is live.
Homeschool paperwork starts innocently—then becomes a transcript, a diploma, proof of progress, and sometimes a compliance file… right when you’re busiest.
ScholarBitBook helps parents record as they go, export clean transcripts, and share selectively. Parents own the records; microschools can be granted scoped access.
Optional verification is tamper-evident (hashes + timestamps) to confirm an export hasn’t changed—without revealing student data.

Virginia is quietly setting up to mandate all 6-12th graders be screened for mental conditions annually—will push HUGE numbers of kids toward to mis- and overdiagnosis.

Only teachers are smart enough to educate children.
Education majors, training to become certified teachers, score an average of 1029 on the SAT. While homeschooled students (taught by parents with no formal teaching credentials) score 1190.
Some useful insight: England doesn’t test students to a discernibly high level, and lots of countries also use assessment linked to qualification, graduation or university entry.
In fact, externally assessed, anonymous, standardised exams are literally the fairest way to judge attainment in almost all academic subjects. Every other system (especially teacher assessment, coursework and continuous assessment) lead to huge levels of discrimination, bias, and gaming by affluent cohorts.

we had an experiment with UBI during covid and all that unleashed creative energy did was consume a lot of crab legs and start a lot of fistfights in airports and cruise ships
New York is a cautionary tale.
You can invest millions in “science of reading,” but if the wrong people are leading it, you risk recreating the same failed systems under a new name.
Leadership isn’t optional. It’s everything.

I've been logging daily activities in the program for a few weeks now. It's interesting what you forget you've done unless your recording it. Adding the voice recording feature has made it a lot easier to track.

My AI assistant forgot who I was. Again. So I built it a memory. Meet Autoglia — persistent memory for @openclaw AI agents. SQLite brain. Auto-checkpoints. Context recovery. One-time purchase. No cloud. No subscription. Your AI finally remembers.
When I started researching gifted issues and academic acceleration, I immediately came across the "Acceleration Institute" and "20 types of academic acceleration" lists.
It's all very exciting at first... High-ability students are real! There are so many ways to help them!
Then the "acceleration options" make contact with reality. Most schools offer about 2.5 of those options, at best. "Too complicated." "No one does that." "We'll differentiate in the gen ed classroom."
Literal prodigies get skipped one whole grade (sometimes). Anything less than truly profoundly gifted and your student could be facing years and years of no acceleration at all.

So what now?
If you're homeschooling — or thinking about it — you need a way to prove it.
Transcripts. Compliance. Records that actually mean something to colleges and employers.
That's what we built: https://t.co/NPXkAn96To
