Year 4/5 found out all about the Durham Miners’ Gala this afternoon. We looked at past posters, learnt about its history, had a look at the Kelloe pit banner and found out about its design. A big thank you to John for sharing his expertise and answering all our questions.

This afternoon Tasha and Callum attended #kelloe primary to finish the final week of the Mini police. The children created some amazing posters and loved the project @DAAC_999 @pccchallenge @PccJoyAllen

Today, Mia visited #KelloePrimarySchool to deliver a session about anti-social behaviour. This was the group’s second session and all enjoyed the session. They were also shown some examples of bad behaviour they could be in their community. @DAAC_999 @PccJoyAllen @DurhamPCC

Friday was the inaugural @AdAstraTrust Sports Day @ @MSportsVillage - KS2 pupils from each of our 10 schools competed against each other, formed new friendships & displayed our Trust values of Support, Togetherness, Achieve, Respect & Success. @EmmersonUK @ARae61 @AbrownAndrew 💫

Year 4/5 are very excited to start reading their new class book `How to Train your Dragon' by @CressidaCowell . They launched it with a little dragon training of their own.
