School Punks

We are a bunch of school punks in a crypto club in high school. We're experimenting with XRP Ledger NFTs of what we draw on the whiteboard. Love it or hate it.

Here is the update: No one has been able to give us any clarity about the legality of moving forward. So we can't do the airdrop. We will burn all remaining tokens. We will retain none. There are a few out there. They are now rare. But we are stepping back.

@rmc2016 Apparently even NFTs are in a limbo state legally too. We can actually mint NFTs on the XRP Ledger right now. It's not a future thing. We know how to do it, but we can't get any legal clarity to move forward and we are just kids. We don't want to screw up our future.

It is a minefield right now with no one knowing what to do to comply with any regulations because there are no clear guidelines.

There are a few hundred xrp in the account. They will be given to charity. Any suggestions on a charity? We will let the community decide where to send them. Then we will move on. We hope that the politicians can get it together and make the roadmap clearer in this space.

@DanChrisPiedad He was one of the characters on the header of our profile. It was the first whiteboard. Lots of whiteboards!

Just like a domain name can be unique, so are the names of tokens on the XRP ledger. In a sense, the name of the token itself is an expression of creativity. It is art. And it can never be reproduced or copied on the ledger.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@DanChrisPiedad So here is the first whiteboard School Punk we ever created: Brainy. He became the logo. The process is simple. We started drawing funny versions of each other on the whiteboard. Then we stylized the image.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@DanChrisPiedad We love your ideas!

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

We are still waiting to hear back from a few people on the best way to go foreword from here. But we will let you know as soon as we can and let the community decide.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

SchoolPunks are full of meaning to us. They represent our youth and all our unique struggles and dreams. They represent the Punk that becomes something more... something greater. And they represent that maybe it's ok just to be who we are now. That it's ok to be a punk.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@DanChrisPiedad schoolpunknft was created as an experiment. We just used it to explore what you could do with the XRPL. It was never intended to be dropped or used publicly. Why?

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

Best suggestion so far is to airdrop all the tokens and we keep none. That would allow the community to decide the fate of the token. Still in discussions.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@ViewsonBrews @richardlopot10 We will have a vote and the community will decide.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@richardlopot10 What is your concern?

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@leobandeira Great idea! It's only a few hundred dollars but that works!

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@vitdgzmn Airdrop is free to all who have the trustline- assuming the airdrop still happens. It looks like it could be legal to make the drop as long as we don't keep any.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

We are currently asking for help to find out what will be the best course of action for the community.

[School Punks @SchoolPunks7]

@GarciaKit13 @sebastianvcx This sounds like it might work. We will ask around.
