@AriseFestival Governor Jared Polis
1-13-22: “Here in CO... the pandemic has worsened what was already a horrifying trend of young children, teens, and adults suffering increased feelings of anxiety, ISOLATION, depression and other mental health issues”. So he bans community gathering @govofco
@AriseFestival Devastating news. It is a disgrace. This compasionate festival deleted for political reasons. It is clear that the State of Colorado is outright hostile toward these events. Let's hold them responsible:Jared Polis for his CDOT and Sheriff Kirk of Pueblo @govofco@pueblocountyso
@Pohakanten Compassion is when you stop pretending that you care about gun violence. It is never too early to speak out about it. Boulder is my town and I am sure we will hear from the families shortly. Judge Hartman can resign before then. #JudgeHartmanMistake
Let's start a memorial for the victims on Judge Hartmans doorstep at the Boulder courthouse in down town. This judge has failed us miserably. Only six days since he struck down Boulder's ban on assault rifles. Best if he resigns. Like NOW.

@the_mark_aka Beautiful and sad at the same time. Minor correction: the smoke comes from the easttroublesomefire on the other side of continental divide and not #calwoodfire.
Update Wednesday 5 PM from WellWise, 1.5 mile southeast of Fairview Peak on #calwoodfire. Only 1 hot spot billowing smoke from the western Peak slope. The white plumes come from the gulch in which Hwy 7 runs from Lyons to Peak to Peak. The dramatic black clouds are Cranby fire.
The link does not work well, but you can fix it. Navigate to Boulder on the map, then open the Layers icon at the top and select Active Fire from all satellites.
Heat map update of #calwoodfire. Major active burn is around Fairview Peak between two clusters on the south side. There are 2 intense fires up to 19 MW. The fires to the north are a concern for Lyons with high southwest winds forecasted later today.

@LaurenCBurdick Unfortunately a high wind event is forecasted for Wednesday evening for #CalWoodFire Direction is from southwest. Serious concerns for Lyons. Source; Community zoom call this evening.
@mcd6838 I can't tell. I am no fire fighter and my POV may be way closer than anyone, it is still very limited. I listened to the community call too and I got from it that the focus is on the southwestern high wind event on Wednesday evening and the concern that it may threaten Lyons.
Fairview Peak on the southwestern perimeter of #calwoodfire, today at 4 pm. Since last night the fire burned the Fairview mountain and the gulch to the north. See my prior tweets for more info on expansion. We are located at WellWise retreat, 2 miles SE of Fairview.
@TimesCall@hibrooklyn Why did they decide to let it burn at Fairview Peak and in gulch to the north? It subsequently lit up on Monday night, requiring a big effort on Tuesday. The exposure is on south side with Middle Fork, Olde Stage and Lee Hill in the line of fire. Not criticizing, just wondering.
Heat map at 6 Pm Tuesday shows major fire expansion on southwestern fire line of #calwoodfire. The orange dots are hot spots. Between the 2 clusters is Fairview Peak. The peak is charred. See my video of chopper dumping on most eastern hot spot at peak. https://t.co/JPjQ3QNACn
The fire has expanded to the east and south slope of Fairview Peak at #calwoodfire. Helicopter dumping water on new hot spots on Peak. North of the gulch behind helicopter burned overnight for half mile east. Fire is entering Overland trail system on the south side of the line.
Helicopter flying to north side of #calwoodfire#calwoodfires right now. Video from WellWise. We are 2 miles southeast of the major hot spots on the southwest side of fire area.
