Catholic Deacon, dad to 3, grateful husband. I am energetic about renewing Campus Ministry & developing & launching student-leadership. Tweets are my opinions.
As leaders within the Catholic Church, we often hear the phrase "parish renewal" thrown around.
But it all starts with personal renewal—being willing to put in the work to see change happen, seeking inspiration, and being open to new ways of doing things.

@FJMallon I preached a retreat this past weekend and mentioned “the CASE system” (copy and steal everything) to the participants—it never fails to make everyone smile and let down their guard a bit. CASE-ing the CASE system! :)

Just got Fr. James’ letter in the mail! I LOVE that DivReno asks for written prayers and notes. Makes me know I’m part of the mission.
The resurrection is the greatest move “from maintenance to mission” ever. Sure, Jesus could have raised and said “here I am, it’s done” but instead he wasn’t there—-he was already going ahead, making things new. Let that same power make things new for you! @divreno_usa@FJMallon
@FJMallon@divreno_usa@DivReno@alphacourse@alphacatholics Today a great parishioner from a local parish sought me out as an “expert” in DR and Alpha. I was so overwhelmed because I’ve always just thought DR and Alpha have guided my ministry——not that of others!
I saw an email from @FJMallon in my inbox and thought “this is it, I’ve been called up to the big leagues! Honey we’re moving to Canada!”
But yes, of course I’ll support @DivReno
We have (wow) 15 students for our inquiry group for OCIA beginning their journey with @alphacourse@alphacatholics tomorrow! Pray for them! College students are hungry for discovering that there’s more to life! @divreno_usa@DivReno@FJMallon
I really enjoyed reading this. Definitely is one sure fire way to drastically change your parish community! https://t.co/S6Nxl9Xbh1 @FJMallon@DivReno@divreno_usa
Sorry 1/3! Construction of a new chapel, I should have said, along with a completely new staff who could, like @FJMallon says, could “start a parish”. (Even though we’re not a parish, lol)
Reading @divreno_usa@DivReno@FJMallon Divine Renovation for like the 6th time (I make it a annual summer read) and I always find something new or interesting. This time: the story of inheriting a “best case scenario”. 1/2
My ministry began in 2017, after a 18 mo. hiatus on our campus & centered on a chapel & the appointment of a dynamic newly ordained priest. Student attendance then was about 15 students a week. Now 120+. “Make the weekend a priority”: Our Sunday experience we call “Chapel Night.”
Despite living in another country 100’s of miles away & only meeting @FJMallon once at NCCL conference in Cleveland, since then I have followed not him, but the passion & vision he inspired in me for parish renewal. The Holy Spirit sat us at neighboring tables on purpose.
